CHG Hazleton CtC Trial 7 Jan 2007

Final Results

Cheltenham Home Guard MCC Held their first trial of the year at Robins quarry Hazleton, on Sunday. The conditions were wet and windy, but this did not deter a colossal entry of 125 riders turning out for this enter-on-the-day traditionally easy trial.

3 laps of 13 rocky straight forward sections, caused few problems to the riders. The easier route was marked for twin shock, Pre 65, Novice and trail bikes. A few dabs and the odd careless 5 were lost, but generally an enjoyable days sport was had by all. Experts were welcome to ride for no award, and most found the standard route, as expected, too easy for there skill level and returned clean sheets.

Intermediate class riders and below found the sections much to there liking with section 11 proving a little tricky with tight turns up, down and over the old quarry wall.

Unfortunately due to the unexpected large entry, a rather lengthy queue formed here, with competitors having time to discuss the ins and outs of the days challenges.

Cheltenham Home Guard continue to be blessed with a hardy loyal bunch of observers. Many thanks to them.
