UPDATED 07May:

RIDERS

Clerk of Course and Meeting Secretary, Tom Welch says: Please study the List of entrants and print off the page with your allocated number and group on it from this PDF format file of all rider's Groups/Numbers. Put in a sandwich bag or similar if you don't have card. Alternative is to create a matching one by hand (We all have an old number lying around, write on the back.)

Please note your start time, and arrive at the venue approximately 30 minutes before this time. You will have a parking area dedicated for your group.

ONLY RIDERS AND THOSE OFFICIALS NOTED ON THIS LIST OF ENTRANTS ARE ALLOWED AT THIS EVENT. I am sorry but this is the rules from ACU HQ so please do not arrive at the event with any spectators, assistants, girlfriends, etc. which would put me in a very difficult position and possibly prevent us from running future covid secure Trials.

To further minimise the covid risk I have placed all family members in one group, and then grouped geographically where possible. If this is not acceptable to you for any reason then please contact me immediately and I will attempt to rearrange the groups.

OBSERVERS

Please read these briefing notes and come to the start approximately 10 minutes before your group start time to collect your bag and its contents. The bags are fairly small so if you wish to use your own larger bag then that is fine.

ALL

I do hope we can all enjoy a good day of motorcycle sport and I welcome any (positive and negative) feedback at the end of the event.

UPDATE 02May: Entrants need to advise Tom Welch if they want to ride with any other specific rider. Family members will be put in the same group unless Tom is advised otherwise. Entries are almost full.

Gloucester & Cotswold MC is staging a trial for Experts and Clubman/Experts only - this is not an event for clubman and sportsman riders but will be an enjoyable test for riders of the top two classes.

With help from supportive landowners at Hayes Coppice near Monmouth, the trial will be held on Sunday, May 9 in a new format to ensure Covid-compliance.

There will be a maximum of 8 groups of 5 riders accompanied by an observer with the first group starting at 9:30am and following groups at 10 minute intervals. The observer will carry a pre prepared bag containing punchcards for all 5 riders and punch the scores at each section.

In the event of there being insufficient observers, then one rider in the group will take responsibility for observing. There will be 2 laps of between 18 and 20 sections. Riders will be notified of their identification number which will take the form of e.g. A1 and they will create their own number using this template (PDF, print only your page. Put in a sandwich bag or similar if you don't have card.), or by hand.

Volunteer observers (on bikes) to contact Tom Welch asap please. NO SPECTATORS ARE ALLOWED AT THIS EVENT, STRICTLY RIDERS AND OFFICIALS ONLY.

Entries are now open on the ACU website and the regulations can be viewed now on the Event Calendar.
