Report: Steve Venn

A fine day in the Cotswolds greeted the 50 riders for a day's easy going sport with sections on the easy side to encourage sportsman and beginners.

3 laps of 12 sections were completed, with only one retirement, the yellow Sportsman route proved straightforward with nothing too difficult and two clean rides were achieved by Rob Walker and Austen Kerr.

The 50/50 Sportsman Plus route proved more of a challenge with the sections being a little tighter, but welcome visitor Tony Field using his years of experience was able to return a score of just 3 marks to come out an easy winner. The Clubman route produced one clean ride by Steve Cook, who coped with the twist and turns around the old railway track best, but the two rides of the day must go to Matt Franklin 2nd on 2 marks lost and Harvey Bennion 5th on 7 marks lost, both riders able to be consistent and steady throughout the trial.

The usual suspects Nigel Tomkins and Andy Perry were tied on 5 marks each both suffering a slack 5.
