Mike Griffiths - RIP
As Stroud MC has announced, Cam farmer and committed motorcyclist Mike Griffiths has sadly died. As well as competing for many years, his generosity ensured many events ran on his land at the foot of the Cotswold escarpment. Everyone in ACU Western will miss Mike and his enormous contribution to our sport is something we're all very grateful for.

Here is the SVMC announcement in full, including funeral details:
Stroud Valley MC mourns the loss of its president Mike Griffiths who sadly passed away on 11th June 2023.
His lifelong passion for motorcycling began in the 1950s with a BSA B32A which he rode in local trials as well as riding around the farm. His successful trials career continued when he purchased an Ariel HT5 from Terry Webb.
Scrambling also featured, and a new BSA Gold star led to local success, until a bad accident resulting in a broken leg ended that endeavour.
Mike belonged initially to Dursley MC & LCC during the "Dick Wyatt era", subsequently supporting Stroud Valley and Golden Valley Classic clubs.
Many successful trials have been run on his farm at Ashmead over many years and he was, until recently, more than willing to help with setting up the sections. Until illness intervened he was a regular observer at local trials.
A respected local farmer and motorcycle enthusiast who will be missed.
Mike's funeral is on Thursday, 29th June, 12.30pm, at Waterside Chapel, Westerleigh Crematorium and afterwards at Ashmead Farm. Donations are for Parkinsons Society.
