hubboOn the 11th August the G&C club will be running the 'Respect' John Husband Team trial. The trial will be run in the trusted format of previous JHTT where a team of one experienced/expert rider rides with either two or three less experienced team members over an enjoyable lap of sections, all to remember Western Centre character John Husband. The onus is on the experienced rider to help out the rest of the team as it's the average team score that determines the finishing positions. If you've not experienced this event before you are missing a hoot and those that have been involved in the past will recall some entertaining times of previous years I am sure. There will be a special test to sort out any of the riders that stay clean.

Riders from the same club or family can enter as a team or you can enter as individuals and be in teams that will be drawn by ballot. (I am sure we could see a number of family teams from within the centre).

Sections will be safe and enjoyable for all and all levels of bike.

This year's event has gained 'Respect' in the title as it is also to celebrate the 80th birthday of the hugely respected Brian Valder. YES Brian is 80! Brian is a regular (as in every week) observer and was a very good rider before he hung up the boots and helmet for the pen and clip board. I was personally very proud that Brian was out last week helping with the YDS event, teaching an 8 year old how to observe........What more could a centre ask from a man!!!!

After the trial will be a BBQ to help celebrate Brian's birthday and all profits are being donated to the air ambulance, (Brian's choice).
